Following ‘Somebody to Use‘ last month, Alesso had to leave us with one more track before saying goodbye to 2021. It’s a perfectly titled track with pop star Katy Perry called ‘When I’m Gone.’ The collaboration combines a house beat with dancepop vocals, bringing two iconic names together for theultimate crossover anthem.
Alesso is no stranger tohigh-profile, multi-genre collaborations, having worked with the likes of Tove Lo, Hailee Steinfeld, Florida Georgia Line, and more. Now Katy Perry joins that list just in time for her Las Vegas residency that kicks off this month.
Fans have even more to look forward to, with the music video for ‘When I’m Gone’ set to premiere on ESPN during the 2022 College Football National Championship game on Monday, January 10.

I’m honored to collaborate with Katy on such an amazing dance record and with ESPN to become the first artists to premiere our music video at halftime of the College Football Playoff National Championship. I loved working with her and think this song and video came out super special.”
