Barcelona midfielder on Man United radar

Manchester United are reportedly tracking down FC Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba, whose contract with the Catalans expires in 2022.

Mundo Deportivo reports that United are ready with an offer to sign the 18-year old  who is a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia youth academy and broke into the club’s B team in September 2019,

Moriba was handed his first-team debut in January by manager Ronald Koeman and has gone on to make four appearances for Barcelona across all competitions so far, contributing with a couple of assists as well in the process.

United believes they have an eye for youths and in making sure that their future is secured, they have been in the market for young players who have been sent to their youth team and with the presence of of Mason Greenwood, Brandon Williams, and more recently Shola Shoretire, Moriba feels that he might be offered a chance with the English giants.

Apart from Manchester United, Moriba is also courting interest from German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
