This is one of the critical failures of both the media and also non Republican citizenry with regards to discourse and understanding of what the true problem is. For the GOP white supremacy is a feature not a bug. We need people to truly realize that Gosar isn’t the problem! Neither is Donald Chump or Moscow Mitch . They are all problems but not THE problem, merely symptoms. The real problem, the true sickness at the heart of the GOP is, Y’all Qaeda, the Republican base.
It is a bottom up problem, not a top down one. The politicians and their alternate reality media is just serving their voters’ wishes. None of the GOP politicians installed themselves into their position, they were all voted in. Keep in mind that the Republican base makes up almost half the electorate, as evidenced by Trump’s receival of 46.9% of the 2020 vote.
The GOP base is so racist, xenophobic, bigoted and misogynistic that they not only support but crave people like Marjorie Qanon and Chump to “lead” them. Their ultimate goal is to create a white Xtian authoritarian theocracy. We have to see the problem, that nearly half the country wants our democracy to end, for what it is or else we have no hope of ever truly addressing it.
