BTS’ summer single “Butter” just got a little hotter.
The Korean pop group released a remix to “Butter” Friday featuring the Hot Girl herself, Megan Thee Stallion.
“She’s bringing Houston to Seoul @theestallion joins @bts_twt for #ButterTheeRemix. #ARMYHotties your time has come,” Spotify tweeted announcing the song’s drop.
The remix kicks off with a trademark Megan Thee Stallion adlib: “It’s the hot girl coach and BTS, ah.” Though BTS’ parts of the song remain similar to the original, a verse and bridge is replaced with a rap break from Megan. We also hear the rapper come in on a couple of their verses.
The collaboration with BTS comes after the rapper filed a petition in a Texas court Tuesday asking for “emergency relief” from the court before Friday, alleging her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment and its CEO Carl Crawford didn’t approve the release of the remix. According to Variety and Billboard, a judge granted her request allowing for the song’s release.
BTS first released “Butter,” their second song entirely in English in May.
“No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 … I think we can do it,” Suga said during a press conference when asked if BTS thinks the song can duplicate the chart success of “Dynamite.” “I think it’ll make it.”
Less than two weeks after Suga’s prophecy, “Butter” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. BTS also became the seventh artists to earn their first four Hot 100 No. 1 in less than a year, joining the likes of The Beatles and Mariah Carey, according to Billboard.
ARMY fans and Hotties alike were excited about the song’s release.
“Cuz every beat I get on get turned into hubba bubba” NAURRRR WHY I JUST CATCH THAT SHE SO HARD,” tweeted @astrogoworl.
For some, the song was a life changing experience.
“I just listened to the butter remix and the way my soul left my body the moment megan rapped with yoongi and did the AHH at the end,” tweeted @winterscIdat.
“MEGAN THIS WAS SO ICONIC OMG,” wrote @BTS21_2019.
